The story behind our name

Countless people said "you spelled compliment wrong" when first hearing the company name. I knew it was a gamble and there will be others along the way who will think that I can't spell.

 

A compliment is "a polite expression of praise or admiration"  which is lovely, but not the vision I had for this company. Full Complement was born out of challenging circumstances and developed naturally out of the curveballs that life oftentimes throws our way.

 

I am part of a sandwich generation. As a full-time working Mama of 2 young children, with a partner who worked long hours away from home and several sets of aging parents between us, adulting was hitting hard from all directions. 

 

The 48 hours between Friday evening and Monday morning were packed with so many activities, responsibilities, check lists, committments and preparations. It seemed that our family was perpetually preparing for, or recovering from the work week. We had very little time for leisure, self-care and most importantly, connection. Add in scheduling time to support our aging loved ones with their homes & properties and time was spread thin and we were left feeling fragmented.

I craved balance, and needed support. I wanted a team of people I could trust to help with various tasks from cleaning to property maintenance & preventative home care etc. In this highly individualized world, I wanted a team, a support circle, I wanted the whole force, the Full Complement. So I created what I saw as the gap in the industry, the connection between the fragmented services.
